SNDT, Matunga as it is popularly known has a campus established and managed by Seva Mandal Education Society (SMES). For the Past 50 years, several thousands of deserving girls have had the privilege of graduating through this institution.

The Trust concentrates on evolving educational programmes aimed mainly at the middle and lower middle classes of society with the objective of empowering young women to gain knowledge and experience required to become independent and self-sustaining in society. SMES operates on a “not-for-profit” basis and has invested crores of rupees, through the kind contributions of several enlightened citizens.

The fees charged are so low that it leaves no excuse for aspiring young women to complain of " unaffordability ".

SNDT, Matunga presently has on rolls 8000 plus women pursuing various education streams. By launching ACA, we intend to groom and develop those aspiring to make careers in aviation, hospitality and travel & tourism fields. In keeping with our mission, we have decided to price these courses at levels that are reasonably affordable to all strata of society.

We shall Endeavour to make available to our students world-class training at a cost one-third or less than that of the other institutions.
